The group exhibition deconstructs often-overlooked colonial processes within Europe and examines current forms of belonging. It brings together diverse voices from indigenous, local, and transnational artists from Northern Europe who engage with the active production of locality—that is, the place as lived experience. How can we rethink location, and who has the rights and opportunities to participate in the social and cultural shaping of spaces? Through various media, the participating artists negotiate transnational perspectives, the spirituality of nature, and contemporary engagements with the traditions of the Inuit and Sami.
